ALL CHANGE??? I probably don’t need this section anymore do I, if i just use the codes below? It would de-clutter the page and at least everything will be in one place, without having to switch between the two, esp for non RP horses at a price etc.

Many of you may just be here for the jumps etc, but you may be interested over the summer months. And if not I hopefully see you back next October time, or for next year’s Festival!

Thanks for the reply regarding bank size, with a recommended 100 point bank I can increase the stakes a little bit which will no doubt bring about a losing run!! Sorry to all those I jinx in the process.
I can’t remember what you’d decided about the free post this weekend but just so you know, it’s showing as free in the title but it has the members colour coding and can’t be accessed without logging in.
Just my feedback and it is most likely just me although maybe not ? The layout is laborious and is in serious need of some editing. Maybe just put the horse up once and all the codes et cetera under. Any thoughts ?

I am always conscious about how the content comes across, trying to make it as clear/accessible as possible.
If we take section 2 today- having pondered, in part based on your comment, i probably don’t need section 1 anymore if I use the codes- that will de-clutter a tad and mean you only need to focus on one section -provided members are clear on the codes, as per the key etc.
What is in section 2 now has to be there- i don’t know how to present that in any other way as that is the vital information.
Your’s is the first public comment/email I have received in terms of accessibility/usability since I changed the format to the 4 sections above (it used to be even more of a muddle!!)
I will try just using the codes etc for the Ratings Pointers which should work fine- I don’t think there is much else I can do from there.
The information being clear is different from it being laborious – it does take time some days to go through the content and pick bets etc – that is just how it is really, based on the approach.
Welcome to take suggestions/ideas on ‘major editing’ as I certainly am out of ideas for how to improve it further really. What is in section 2 has to be there.

from the start i have been backing everything but using a staking plan, did post it some time ago, and i think it has helped profit wise.
after thinking about our conversation yesterday and looking at the figures i am going to increase stakes but only by approx 50% i know this is a bit cautious but it means i won’t have to reduce even if we hit a bad run.
so from today using a starting bank of 600 stakes are as follows.
G1 + H1 = 7
G1,H1 = 4
G1 +H3 = 6
H1 + G3 = 6
G3,H3 = 3
G3 + H3 = 5
everything else = 2
all stakes win only with betfair.
if you have a crystal ball to tell me what prices will go out/shorten that would be helpful 🙂

sorry this is a bit long winded but just to clarify i started with bank of 200 which i roughly split between betfair and skybet since then i have opened 2 more accounts to get the best deals for cheltenham which came out of skybet, i also withdrew £30 (4x 7.50) for subs as i don’t count that in profits. yesterday i moved some money around and am starting again today with 300pts in betfair for all qualifiers from members page,300pt skybet for tips etc from free page + some of my selections and about 120pts in the other 2 for silliness itv7,pick7, lucky 15’s etc. the way i have it all set up now i can easily transfer from one account to another if i want to use one for something else , i.e. much bigger price on BF for a longshot.so i should be able to have much more accurate figures in the future. that’s it my brain hurts now.

i back all qualifiers to varying stakes depending on where they have qualified
Martin.. you probably have the most complex approach on here… not to you mind!… but with that in mind..what I have done in section 2 today, with the red ratings pointers codes… does that work for you? I could just use those and scrap section one? Thoughts welcome..

Thanks David, yes very happy with how the season has gone- and next NH season will feel less experimental! I think we have some more settled strategies now, and given the winners Oct-Jan, that should be even more exciting. Glad you have enjoyed yourself, that is the main thing.

Not normally a contributor of comments but I do love reading them. With the amount of knowledgeable people you have could you help with my problem. I closed my PP account because I was annoyed they stopped me 35% on a rule 4 when other firms stopped only 20% but now I find they have closed my Betfair account as well which I didn’t want. Any ideas as to if this can be reversed or am I now stuck? Thanks to your ‘gang’ in advance , keep up the good work.

That is a very good question.. obviously they are one company now but I didn’t think they would transfer one to the other in that way, the buggers. Not sure if there is a consumer legal issue there or not etc.
I mean if you closed the account yourself, you could just re-open and leave dormant – and maybe throw 5/10 at the casino games to lift their spirits/think you are a mug!
Did they close your exchange account also? Suppose exchange/sportsbook is one account anyway..
You could open PP and send them a message and they may reverse… esp if it wasn’t a trading decision etc. Seems very underhand, you would have thought they like the commission on the exchange, so I find that strange.

To answer your question Keith they do not close your Exchange account.
I have put this up about the large Bookmakers gobbling up the Independants and now they taking over each other to control the market place.
Ladbrokes took over Coral and Betdaq exchange
Paddy Power took over Betfair exchange,within 7 days Paddy Power closed my Betfair account using their Data.
Betfred took over Tote not in the punters intrest.
I do not know what the gambling Minister is doing,i can only guess and he or she is not only eating the prawn sandwiches!!!
If any one on here is articulate with words and the use of the computer then we need to start a campaign ,showing what the Bookmakers are doing against the Punter.
For myself i am not computer lit,but i will do what i can to help.
Thanks for that, I’ve just tried to log into the B/F exchange, same result, they have called it their responsible gambling policy, but that wasn’t the reason . I commented to Chris on GGs as it was a stat of the day horse he said PP were renown for it. I was a bit angry because of what they did so I closed it and withdrew all my balance about £300 but I think I’ve bitten off my nose to spite my face !!

Hi Kieth from the 30/12/16 if you close 1 account both accounts they also close your betfair account and I think once you close your paddy power account, that’s it I think they don’t allow you to reopen it
Josh, please keep this page as simplified as possible. Combining sections 1 + 2 is very helpful.
I was hoping someone may say that! 🙂 quiet agree, not sure why I haven’t done that before.
