TTP Jumps Notes: 22/12/16 (complete)

Bangor qualifiers+ ratings + notes + message…

PLEASE NOTE:

Firstly may I wish you and your families and very Merry Christmas.

I do not know when ‘normal’ service will resume but you will just have to look out for posts as and when. I will endeavour to get Boxing Day’s post up tomorrow/Saturday morning. Given how busy some Saturday’s have been I am bracing myself given it is the busiest racing day of the year. With any luck the ratings pointers will narrow things down, and then we can focus on any 25/1+ shots who may not be on that list but may be worth a dabble!

So, have an enjoyable next few days. Where there is racing, there will be a post, but the usual ‘up by 2pm/ratings by early evening’ won’t be applying for a few days.

BANGOR

12.35

Supreme Asset (micro – going if Soft- which is it I think) 3rd 7/1

NOTE: McCain 4/27,8p last 14 days and they are going well enough not to be put off. An interesting runner and I don’t think you would be shocked were he to go close, equally he could tail off again. But, he has no headgear on which may have a positive difference- there is a question over the trip but he hasn’t raced over it at this lowly C4 level and while he doesn’t win very often at some point McCain will find him a race. On paper this trip should be fine. Also with this yard, given their problems last year with illness, a lot of that form has to be viewed with a forgiving mind I think. You couldn’t be overly confident but he is a ratings pointer…

1.05

Valley of Milan (micro- going, as above) NR

2.10

Lyme Park (micro – going,as above) UP 8/1

Katies Hen (micro – going , as above) UP 10/1

Miss Mash (hncp hurdle) WON 4/1

NOTE: First two McCains again. Lyme Park- unexposed, lightly raced, hard to rule out. Ground is simply an unknown, never raced on soft. Should run his race again if handling it – may even relish it. Katies Hen – only 9th hurdle start but looks woefully out of form and I cant see why she would suddenly snap into form – not really doing anything differently etc – no headgear for example. Market may well guide but Lyme Park’s chance looks more obvious to my eye. Miss Mash – Daly in form, 2/10,4p last 14 days. Unexposed, lightly raced, conditions look fine. Johnson up. Not much more to add. Possible niggle as to whether she stays but early days and given profile I won’t be trying to put you, or myself, off.

That is all for today.

I write to wish you a Happy Christmas and a prosperous New Year.

I am really enjoying your service although I am not an each-way man but you seem to have uncovered a gem with Geegeez ratings and speed figures.

    Keep up the good work.

    Thanks again.

    1. Hi Bob, Many thanks… yep the ‘ratings pointers’ have had a superb start and have been very consistent. Like you I am a win only punter really, and what is a steady 50%+ win/p SR is rather eye popping at the moment- so the EW option is there price allowing, but at the same time adds to the confidence that winners will be found over time- well, if those % are maintained they will be.

      Best
      Josh
