Qualifiers + ratings+ Notes…

Noche De Reyes (all hncps+hncp chase+ micro…TJC) UP 8/1>18/1

NOTE: George in red hot form again, 6/20,9p last 14 days. This one’s weakness in the market concerns me/confuses me. There are some interesting types at the top of the market but he likes this CD and will relish this better ground. It may be he is a C3 horse, but that run at Ascot in that decent race showed he could win above that level. He is in Top 3 HRB also and on that basis I have backed him. We shall see if he is good enough.

Gone Too Far (all hncps) UP

Cernunnos (all hncps + hncp chase+ micro… TJC/Class/Age) UP

King of The Wolds (hncp chase) UP

NOTE: I have ‘tipped’ in this race on the free post -none of these are in the ‘ratings pointers’ but that may not stop them of course. I would have liked to see money for Gone Too Far on stable debut. Horse has a good record fresh but market suggests he is for another day. Career high mark I think and does have a stamina question/slight class question in this line up. C3 winner, but this is a higher ratings band c3 than he usually competes in. Cernunnos isn’t impossible also but has a stamina question and has looked out for form. King of The Wolds looks interesting but again market support would be welcome, may out run his odds. Not impossible one of them wins this of course and some nice prices there. I personally have doubts but have been very wrong a few times in the last 12 weeks.

Mountain Chimes (NHF) UP

NOTE: No ratings for this runner. Not much to say. Market may well guide- if so, he isn’t winning! But, you never know. Trainer 4/15,8p with NHF runners here last 3 years, +16 points- that profit level suggests in general they go off well enough fancied.

Bise D’Estruval (all hncps) UP

NOTE: No ratings for this runner. NTD in great form, horse is unexposed ‘could be anything’ type. I was looking for market confidence but again seems on the drift – may or may not be significant of course. An interesting runner and nothing I can say to put you off really.

  1. Being scatterbrained, I recall some early season info – think it was from you Josh?- mentioning Dr Robin might be interesting after having a couple of seasonal runs. His third is in the 2:50 at Ffos Las on Wednesday 21st.

    1. Yep that was me, and given my awful ability to track my own ‘eye catchers’ thanks for the heads up! I will have a look at race- he was big at Aintree and had a long time off. Looked like a slowly slowly approach maybe, and ran ok LTO from memory- cant fully remember and yet to look. That was a hunch so we shall see.

      1. yep – no idea if soft is his thing, but hasn’t raced on it much so can’t really judge until he has had a go. Looks a decent little contest though, against some in form rivals. But he is unexposed in this sphere and maybe soft is what he wants.
