FREE DAILY POST: 07/12/16 (complete)

complete…jumps angles, AW angles…

It is frustrating when a horse you have backed un-ships early – I don’t like the not knowing and I would rather they run their race and fade into 4th or something – at least you then know you called it wrong. But, fences are there to be jumped and Royal Native decided to miss one out. At least the Stats/Angle EW stab gave any backers a run for their money drifting from 12s>33s- for a brief moment it looked very promising, turning for home… he desperately wanted the lead and it took him a circuit, and going 4 wide, to get it- he could be interested in a race with less pace pressure, and may have a good chance of making all, albeit he is clearly tricky and needs plenty of riding. A ‘McCoy’ horse if ever you saw one.

TIPS

none, I don’t fancy attacking the C5 chase at Hexham.

STATS/ANGLES OF INTEREST

Not much else of interest today for me. I have looked in the winter All-Weather TTP guide and there are a couple of qualifiers as follows for Lingfield (I haven’t looked at Kempton)…

12.05 Ling – My Fantasea UP

3.35 Ling – Swot 2nd 14/1>9/2

That will be all for today.

  1. Hi Josh….if you watch the race again…. KM is an unfurnished horse…..You could tell by how it ran… But it is only 4 years old….so I’m putting it in my tracker and watching for him to put some muscle on in it’s flanks. Another day that could have won….. I got paid the 66s…it was only there for about 30secs…..Earlier I took 25s…so it averaged out at about 40s. They’ve paid me out anyway lol.

    Cheers.

    1. yep good point about his inexperience/age, maybe a slow maturing type. Still think he could win one of those now, if getting his own way up top maybe. One to keep an eye on at a very ‘untrustworthy’ grade.

  2. Hi Josh

Thought I would reply here instead of yesterday’s post. Yeah I know what you mean about the price on Florrie. Its one of those times when it looked too good to be true and you spend half an hour trying to figure it what’s wrong with him. Ironically one of my tipsters tipped him up on Saturday but went agianst him with the 2nd fav today.

As an aside note, (which helped me spot him) Ive been trying to find an angle into 7/10lb claimers (I guess it could also work with 5lb ones) riding a horse where a jockey with no claim was on LTO the caveat being they’ve had a recent winner so at least have shown a decent level of ability sticking to hurdles/bumpers (I think there is an arguement that chases require a more experienced hand). At the moment its more of an angle to identify the rides since havent found a profitable way in however I thought it was an interesting angle to explore. Also helps to pick out this year’s Harry Cobden. At the moment both Tom Humphries and Angus Cheleda appear to have bright futures ahead even if its a little early (both have won 3 out of 5 rides this year)

  3. I can pass on a good word for two Gary Moore horses, albeit each way.

3.05 LP, Chandon Elysees, 33/1. 5.15 KP, Sussex Ranger, 7/1.

    Good luck.

    1. Thanks Martin. Fingers crossed. Any perspective on the Moore horse Leicester 2.55pm Mount Shamsan. I had in my notes that he was quite fancied LTO but saddle slipped early in the race.
