TIPS
None. A 4.5 point blowout over the weekend- very unlucky in the first, not quite good enough at Fontwell. Aerial- well, after he won I went back to look at Paul Nicholls’ ‘long lay off’ stats – well, let’s just say he is now 16/69,29 places +35 points with handicap chasers returning 365 days+ off. Even if I had done my job properly before the race and looked that up I don’t think I would have picked him – he hadn’t done much on his last 3 returns after long breaks and I would have had a stamina Q, and an age one. And possibly a ground one. Lightly raced and well handicapped on recent and old form. He once ran Coneygrey close in a G2 novice hurdle! He clearly has a touch of class on his day. Today was his day. I can live with those ones, just about.

I need to tot up the totals for ‘TTP’ this week but the weekend was a good one for followers, another +21 points if backing all selections systematically. There is only one possible on Monday from Plumpton ( a few from Muss that I will keep in members area) and I don’t yet know if he will be ‘backable’ price but given how quiet it is, that qualifier with notes is below…
PLUMPTON
2.40
Skylander (hncp h + micro class)
NOTE: Pipe’s going ok enough not to be put off- 4/31,9 places last 14 days. This one reverts to hurdles having not looked in love with chasing on his last few starts. This isn’t a deep race- Mulholland’s will be fav no doubt and may get the hat-trick- but a repeat of any of this one’s summer hurdle form should put him in the mix I think. The jockey has been seen to ok effect on a couple of pipes recently.

That will be all for today. A quiet start to the week, which is no bad thing. Post complet.

Gerard, great work on your bumper winner today
Hope you had a few on it Ali,think it was a bit of a stable coup,i watched the race again and the stable mate Imperial Eloquence came with a great run and hesitated a bit from the line, maybe making sure Paddy had the win, noticed Paddy going over and giving Conor a pat on the shoulder, put that one in your tracker(Imperial Eloquence) though it might not be a great price nto
Not sure about ‘I’m Still Waiting’ in this case, Nick Gifford purchased ‘The Mighty Don’, 32K

top shout, hope you had a bit on, nice price also. Doubt Gifford spends that much on a horse that often, can clearly pick them it seems. Very good ride.
Good Call Clavis
Hi Josh /All
A bit late today but looking at the 5.30 Newcastle the old boy Sir Geoffrey 8.6 seems overpriced for this, He finished in front of the Fav Indian Pursuit last time out here on his first run at the track / surface and although he loses the 7lb claimer and Ben Curtis takes the ride he looks to have a great chance of an uncontested lead and will keep rolling on this straight track which he enjoys…A bit of value here
Cheers
Steve
