  1. The below comment is from Ian, posted on yesterday’s post. Worth a read…

If you could put this on tomorrows post ease Josh
This is week 45 of the calendar year and the stand out trainer of (week 45) is,
    E LAVELLE
Last six years. Made a profit every year. any type of race, hcp/non, hrdle/ch/bumper.

    44 runners 18 winners = 41% for those that like EW 27 pl.. 61%
Prices, If you keep it under 12/1 the SR goes to 47% and 71% pl.
If you only go Class 2-3-4-5, the SR (18 from 35) = 51%.

It may be her birthday week or the rents due, I don’t know.
But her SR is head and shoulders above the others in this particular week .
Loves Exeter, 5 wins from 10
Loves Wednesday’s 5 wins from 9. maybe that’s her birthday
She has seven entries for the week. First one

3:05K Parish business…Lets hope she does mean business

Lets see how she goes eh?. It’s only money.

  2. Just awful news about Vautour. Some horse to win at 3 consecutive Cheltenham Festivals so easily and says a lot about the Ricci/Mullions strength in depth that maybe he never received the plaudits he deserved.

    1. Yep it has been a tough few days for the sport really, both human and equine. Freddy T being paralysed from the waste down somewhat puts everything in perspective. Very sad news about Vautour – one of those freak accidents that can happen when a horse is turned out it seems. You cant but help feel for those lads/lasses that look after them – to them I doubt they care whether a multiple Cheltenham winners or a C5 handicap hurdler – never nice, and I suppose even more so when they are a star. Team Mullins lost another good one over weekend also didn’t they. Very tough times.

  3. Not much today. Trainer in form 1.10 Car, Jack Steel, 4/1, certain each way? Sir Vinski, 1.45 Car, could go well at 12/1 for a trainer who is top man at the course?

    Good luck.

  4. Hi Josh / All

A decent set of results at Chelmsford on Saturday with 2 winners 7/2 & 6/1 SP
    2 x 2nds, 2 x 4ths and an unfortunate unseat out of the stalls making a reasonable profit overall…

Having tried using different variations on the Stallions & Draw at Newcastle without much success I’m looking at using a more in-depth analysis at the track and a broader look at how a stallion performs overall so will attempt this for the first race there today.

    Contenders –

    Flame of Hope 6.4
Looking at the race distance the stand out sire is “Dragon Pulse” with a 5F record of 41 runs, 9 wins, 21 places 21.95% Win SR 51.22% place SR
At Newcastle on the Tapeta over 5F he is 3 runs, 1 win, 1 place
T D Barron has had 1 runner in maidens at the track with 1 place and when teaming up with G Gibbons he is 8 runs, 5 wins, 6 places in AW maidens

    Desert Sport 2.66
This horse is bred out of the Japenese sire Hat Trick with already an impressive record at Newcastle on Tapeta of 4 runs 1 win 4 places but is pretty much untried over 5F with all of its progeny racing over further bar 1 which was placed at Ayr over 5F. The trainer Robert Cowell also has a good record in maidens at the track / surface with 3 runners 1 winner 3 places, Joe Fanning has only 1 ride with 0 place in AW maidens for trainer.

    Bombay Dream 2.88
Another good record for the sire Sepoy on tapeta at the track 4 runs, 1 win, 2 places with an overall 5F record of 13 runs, 1 win, 3 places. W Haggis with runners in maidens at the track / surface is 7, 2, 5 and Pat Cosgrove has a respectable 51, 13, 28 record for the trainer in such events.

I think the race should concern these 3 and on overall balance and odds I think a solid EW bet would be Flame of Hope with the best stallion & Jockey stats….any thoughts or adjustments to this going forward?

    Cheers
    Steve

  5. I like duke street 3.05 Kempton ew 10/1 decent speed ratings over going and right handed tracks should be spot on after is last race won 2nd time out last year decent chance 10/1 to big
    antony

    1. I’ve backed this one too Antony. That said a little put off by trainer’s comments (running to get him qualified) and the lack of money as the Dr’s horses are usually quite well supported if fancied to win. I’ve saved on Parish Business at 9/2 who’s been well backed all today. Will see in around 15 minutes.

        1. good pick that- he tanked through the race there, travelled so well- bumped into one with more in hand I think and may be a stiffer track will suit – I wonder if they will try and get his mark down a bit – looked like winner for a long way to me and he looked to be given the treatment to my eye over last couple.

        2. Well done on Caesar too. I just had Duke Street to win. Dont do too much ew unless a really decent price but works well when you put them in the multiples

  6. Hi Josh, Had almost forgotten to mention this, but, a few weeks ago i received an e-mail from the team at ‘ Bonus Bagging’ it was a copy of an e-mail from a young man named Josh, extolling the merits of the ‘Profit Maximiser’ system, stating how it had virtually carried him through his student years and how well he had done from it. Their was also a photograph attached, and it looked remarkably like yourself. If it was you, are you still following the system? I did the original ‘ Bonus Bagging’ about a couple of years back and did pretty well from it. However i didn’t take the next step up as i thought that it might just be a bit complicated for me, as i’m pushing on a bit and my mind isn’t as quick as it used to be!

    1. Hi Allan,
That is nothing to do with me! Can you email me what you received and the photo??!! I too once signed up to Bonus Bagging but didn’t have the mindset for it – far too boring for me- don’t think I have the mind of a ‘trader’ and while I have every belief you can make very good money from it – and many do- i just couldn’t get excited about the whole process. But that is just me.
It certainly isn’t anything to do with me, not to my knowledge anyway!
      Josh

      1. HI josh, Yes i have just forwarded this on to you now. First time that i’ve forwarded an e-mail on to someone else,so, hope it gets there ok. Silver Surfer and all that you know!

        1. Yep, sorry called you Ali as well – think his username is aallen which confused me haha- and I am no silver surfer!
Yep that all came through ok – IF i grew my hair a bit I would look very similar to the photo of that josh, an uncanny resemblance but I can confirm that is not me! Can see why you may have thought it was – I could have done with making 100k at uni! Josh

        1. Oh yep. In truth I have no idea. It is more a strategy and from what I remember of it I see no reason why it would not still be working. It is a credible service etc. Give it a Google and have a look. Josh
