Recap.
What a strange strange old Saturday of chase racing. I don’t think I have backed so many fallers in one day! (or those who made race ending errors) And early fallers at that. Rubbish for the entertainment value. Some Buckle was very fit to my eye pre race and was travelling very strongly as they started to turn for home. He would have been involved but decided to take a fence with him. Game over. I backed Un Noble at Kelso, a TTP stats pick, and he fell at the first. Present Man – well the less said about that the better- why oh why he didn’t lead I have no idea- they went a slow pace early and he was pulling away- not sure if unsighted or what but he fell at one of first couple, I forget which. His jumping was one of main reasons I liked him! Damn.
Gentleman Jon was arguably fortunate as I think the fav was passing him – but fences are there to be jumped – a case of last horse standing really. And you need a bit of luck in this game – well done Antony who thought he was a decent EW bet. That race fell apart some what. Ravens Tower at least won for my Aintree notes and I was warm as to his chance at his price.
I believe Gerry highlighted a 7/1 winner also. As always the comments are worth a read. Well done if you had a good day! (and apols if I missed any other winners posted by you shrewd folk)

I thought it was going to be one of those days when Boyhood just failed and misfits likewise,On Dmand brought a measure of comfort but at much reduced rturn, then wallop Un Noble,Was in town earlier and like to have few cash bets,so did Carnachy 14/1(Simcock has good record at Doncaster) and Gentleman Jon as an afterthought 3.05 and I had a winner, elation,Some Buckle was cruising at 5 from home and was just waiting for Heskin to ease to the front, wallop, still I was up on day,Gentleman Jon beaten when wallop but this time i was benefactor 5 euro invested, 57.50 to collect,Then Ping capped the day.Lesson is trust the stats,te ups and downs tend to even out over time,Some Buckle will win at some stage at a bigger price,Boyhood is an improver and will win soon.
It was at this time last year I bagged 16/1.14/1 and 5/1 following Gary Moore at Sandown,No tasty prices this year but he has 5 tomorrow at backable prices
12.30 Mr Fickle 8/1 and Royal Battalion 9/1
1.40 Crystal Lad 9/1
2.50 Darebin 13/2 and Bad Boy Du Pouldu 10/1
One winner would cover any losses,2 would be a bonus
I have been in good form recently banging in the winners, but Saturday was a blow out. Sorry about my tips. I thought that the number of non runners spoiled the racing. We need the rain.
I have a few Breeders Cup bets in the later races.
I will report back later on Sunday.
Hi Martin
I am the guilty party for saturdays loss of form for i doubled my modest stake on your info on saturday.
I would like to say a big thank you for your info and look forward to your posts most days.
Cheers
Colin
Braqueur D’Or 1.55 ffos las looks interesting at 14/1 ew trainer in good recent form and got excellent course form the race he finished 2nd in at Hereford winner as won since and 3rd as won twice since thought 14/1 was big
antony
I have had an EW on this myself although the other Curtis runner seems to be fancied as its being backed. For the same reasons as you have highlighted I thought this was the value bet.
Tom
one of only three that have recorded a speed figure on Geegeez race cards as well
I don’t have much today. Darebin, 2.50 SP, initially looks solid each way. However I hear that he does need the run.
A little each way flutter as well, A Decent Excuse, 3.15 Cork. 14/1.
Sitting here watching the North London derby and reading the newspaper, I see that Venetia has let her lair and has a runner today! No rain the the South East.
My 16/1 each way i have on Frodon in the BetVictor has halved in price due to it winning an egg and spoon rack on Saturday. Will likely go off 5/1 which seems silly on what it has done.
Finally, the London Racing Club meet this Wednesday at Holiday Inn Kensington. Matt Bisogno of Geegeez, Paul Jacobs champion tipster, Tony Calvin a top journalist are all on the Cheltenham open meeting preview panel. Starts at 7.30, non members welcome, not to be missed.
Hello everyone,
Nice little meeting that at Sandown, wasnt it? Amore Alato and the lovely, game Loose Chips brightened my weekend up!
Just thought I’d share my Sunday evening’s work with you. I’ve devised a promising looking system focusing on the Ludlow-based Henry Daly runners off the back of a break:
H Daly
NH season (Oct-May)
Days since last run: 46+
Horse age: 5+
Top 10 finish LTO
2016: 26 bets, 7 win, 11 place, P/L (SP): +23.5
2015: 34 bets, 4 win, 15 place, P/L (SP): +31.5
2014: 49 bets, 8 win, 21 place, P/L (SP): +28.62
2013: 43 bets, 13 win, 19 place, P/L (SP): +57.36
Shows profit on place market too, so they seem to be worth backing e/w
If you could put this on tomorrows post ease Josh
This is week 45 of the calendar year and the stand out trainer of (week 45) is,
E LAVELLE
Last six years. Made a profit every year. any type of race, hcp/non, hrdle/ch/bumper.
44 runners 18 winners = 41% for those that like EW 27 pl.. 61%
Prices, If you keep it under 12/1 the SR goes to 47% and 71% pl.
If you only go Class 2-3-4-5, the SR (18 from 35) = 51%.
It may be her birthday week or the rents due, I don’t know.
But her SR is head and shoulders above the others in this particular week .
Loves Exeter, 5 wins from 10
Loves Wednesday’s 5 wins from 9. maybe that’s her birthday 🙂
She has seven entries for the week. First one
