TTP Jumps Notes: 26/10/16 (COMPLETE)

Complete…Qualifiers + Notes= My View from Fakenham up so far…

Just the one jumps meeting on Wednesday…

FAKENHAM

2.40

Lee Side Lady 2nd (all hncps+hncp hurdle+micro age, micro going IF soft)

NOTE: Mulholland 10/47,18 places last 30 days, ‘in form’ albeit only 3/21,10 places last 14 days, before tuesday’s runners. Still, with half winning or placing you would have to say they are going ok and that is no reason to be put off as such. The horse is 1/3,2 places after breaks 60+ days and trainer can ready them, albeit not as prolific as some. Horse won over CD when last seen. Aged 6 and only 9th career start you would like to think there may be more to come at some point.

4.40

Little Windmill NR (hncp chase)

NOTE: trainer in form, 2/8,3 places last 14 days, as is the horse. The horse is in superb form and looks the likely pace angle- suspect they will try and make all again. Now 16lb above first win of sequence two starts ago- personally if the price is good that wouldn’t put me off- more of view that they may be well handicapped still until proved otherwise, which may be this race. Given form I doubt he will be much of a price though. Recent form is on a sound surface, could be argued that any cut is a question/unproven.

5.10

The Caller (NHF trainer) WON 6/4

NOTE: trainer 1/3,1 place last 14 days, and has solid stats with those making second career start, 11/49,21 places last 2 years- can’t profit from backing them blind though! Horse ran respectably on debut.

My View:

Only two left today and they are both short enough for my own punting tastes albeit I clearly hope they both bolt up. I wont be backing either on the nose. I rarely bet multiples etc as I am not confident I would make them pay over the long term, but the two that are left are paying around 3/1 at the moment – and well, given how quiet a day it is I have had 1/2 point (£10 for me) on that outcome. No doubt one will bolt up and the other will lose out in a photo!
