TTP Jumps Notes: 14/10/16 (complete)

Complete…Quals/Notes/My View

WINCANTON

2.25

Moonday Sun (all hncps) 9/4 UP

Cliffs of Dover (hncp hurdles) 2/1 WON 1.4/1 (30p R4) >6/5 SP

Hint of Mint (micro -age) 11/4 NR

NOTE: all three…trainers are ‘in form’ and going well. Fry has a decent record with those after a break. Even the other trainer in here is ‘in form’. Personally the prices don’t inspire me and I am not sure how you would pick one. My Brother Sylvest could get an easy lead here. I will sit it out I think. Hopefully one of them wins!

3.00

Gentleman Jon (hncp chase, micro – distance) 5/1 UP 11/2

NOTE: Tizzards are going ok without winning, 0/10,5 places last 14 days. Horse has decent enough record after a break, including this race last year. 7lbs above his last winning mark.

FAKENHAM

4.25

Wiesentraum (all hncps, hncp chases, micro – trainer jockey combo/class) 5/1 UP 5/1

Princeton Royale (hncp chase) 11/2 2nd 3/1

NOTE: Have written this race up in free daily post and tipped Princeton Royale who seems to have plenty in his favour to my eye at 11/2 and I was happy to put 1 point on him. I am reluctant with Wiesentraum who has just a bit too much to prove for me at the moment. At his best he would be in the mix but his recent form suggests there have been problems and he isn’t getting any younger, albeit lightly enough raced. Could’t put you off a saver, or even more, but a few niggles there.

BONUS: Ireland

4.05 Downpatrick

Cairnshill (hncp hurdles)

***

My Verdict: Not too much to add to what is above. One of those again where you can’t say that any of the main qualifiers can’t win. I had 1/2 point on Gentleman Jon last night at slightly bigger price and will leave it at that I think. Capper may have him , and maybe a couple of interesting ones in here, but given he won race last year and he could race prominently, I was happy to have small bet on him.

Good Luck with any bets

Josh

  1. Two for Friday – Im In Charge, 3.00 Win, course form 1132F1, esp on good ground. Princeton Royale, 4.25 Fak, suited by the course.

    1. Yep will have a look at I’m in charge…proper good to firm horse. Also agree Princeton Royale. Will give proper look in morning but had little on at 6s already. A few in that have serious stamina questions. This one is in form, could lead or try to and could be even better over this trip, having stayed it well over hurdles. Outclassed LTO looks solid to me.

  2. Martin, a couple of weeks ago you brought up the subject of trainers who take 1/2 runners on a 200 mile + trip. Out of interest I put something in to my HRB with a few filters for 20/1 max and 16 trainers who have had success. Since 2013 it is showing a 28.54% strike rate with + 438pt profit to SP.
    Today sees the first qualifiers:
    Fak 2:40 – Abel Vor
    Newc 6:20 – Tamayef

Let’s see how this goes and will try to post up qualifiers, although I don’t always find the time to post as much as I would like.

    Chris R.
