Your Help Required...

I have been through the systems last week and I believe there were winners (that qualified) as follows: Sindarban (5/1) / Victoire De Lypher (6/1) / Regal Monarch (11/8) / Be Perfect (7/2) / Art Obsession (13/2)

Those odds are the Industry SP price. If you know that any were bigger during the morning of the race (or when you backed them), could you post a comment please. Hopefully a few of those were well backed but I have no idea…(and if there is a way I can find out myself then please do let me know also)

Thursday... I will post a piece by Gary Priestley that he has kindly written for you good blog readers. I would think he is probably the best free tipster around. He has a very clear approach that has worked for him for a number of years now. Indeed I think he tipped a 25/1 winner yesterday and another 14/1 winner today to continue what has been a quite incredible run. This article looks at his approach. It is the first of two articles, the other being a response to any questions that you post in the comments. So, there is that to look forward to. A ‘How I Make Racing Pay’ series, or something like that, might work quite well. I will have to see if anyone else fancies letting you know their secrets.

I also have my latest Betting Insiders Club Article for June to send out to Donations Club Members. This one is also trainer based and looks at a few interesting angles/micro systems for some smaller yards. Like with my William Haggas ‘trainer in focus piece’ they are posting the qualifiers from all these angles in the members forum, as a live test. So, look out for that in the next couple of days. (likely on Thursday also)

TIPS

NONE

Ah the weather looks like defeating the day. It looks like there is rain in most places and I would be guessing as to what the ground would be at both Perth and Worcester come race time. It could be anywhere between good through to soft at both jumps tracks I think. So, who knows. But, I can’t really be guessing on going and I am not in the form/points in the bank in recent weeks to take an educated stab.

MICRO SYSTEMS

June Trainers

2.30 Catt – Irish Cailin (18/1<) NR

5.30 Catt- Summer Isles (18/1<) NR

Other

J Fanshawe Kempton (any odds): 8.40 Kemp – Pecking Order UP 11/4

TTP: MAIN TRAINER SYSTEMS

None.

STATS/ANGLES OF INTEREST

None – again the weather looks to be the most unpredictable factor across the country so I will sit the racing out. Too much guesswork given looks like rain everywhere at some point during the day- most of which will be on already softened ground.

  1. Hi Josh,

Hope you had a good weekend time at the festival:
Here are the prices I got:
    Art Obession-11/1 with a 10p rule 4
Victoire De Lyphar-8/1 with a 20p rule 4 (so basically not far off SP)
    Be Perfect 7/1 with a 5p rule 4

Can’t see any of the other 2 although don’t recall Sindarban so guessing he was a trainer track one and I don’t touch anything below 3/1 so might have been the reason I don’t have the other.

    Regards,
    Nick

    1. Hi Nick,

Yep it was thanks – muddy- but always enjoyable.

Thanks for those, a nice 6.5 points or so above SP on my reckoning which all helps. Yes the other two were TPP horses.

      Cheers
      Josh

      1. Evening Josh, welcome back, Sindarban backed at 10/1 (Bet365 9.21pm 21/6), Regal Monarch backed at 2/1 (Skybet 9.45pm 23/6) so you can increase your SP return significantly! Thanks. PS. Echo your comments on Gary Priestley I was on both 25/1 & 14/1 winners yesterday/today, these odds only available as soon as Gary posts them on Twitter mid afternoon the day before. Thanks to a recommendation on your blog a few weeks ago! Waiting for the dreaded restricted stakes again, already hit by Betfair, PP & Ladbrokes recently.

        1. Thanks Djic much appreciated. I did hope that if I stopped backing the systems they would have a few winners. Given today so far I should probably stop backing them again! Looks like around 12 points above SP for those winners which is welcome – thanks for the update.

Yep – that is one of the problems Gary/his followers may face now – I suspect the bookies keep at eye on his tips and no doubt his accounts/when he bets. Indeed that may be a question that I will get him to answer. There is always Betfair/Betdaq and taking a price I suppose- but wonder in the afternoon if that is tricky. Bookies may no doubt be aware you are backing his tips – and given his long term profit may restrict you on that basis.

Then again, his winner today was a drift and the 25/1 winner was same SP as advised. He makes so many points at the moment you can take some sort of hit in terms of price. If you have the mindset and patience for a 1/15 win strike rate/(1/4 win/place) quite a few bets, and do only care for profit – then there can’t be many better tips to follow. Glad you have been on!

Part of my job is to try and point you all to other decent sources of info! That is the aim anyway.

          1. Cheers for that reminder, guys…didn’t follow up the earlier recommendation but have just done so. The 7 tips he’s put up for today are still very backable on the exchanges.
            Paul

    1. HI Steve, there is a link (the first one) in the link below which is my pack of articles I have written for them to date, that I sent out a couple of weeks back. That tells you more and worth a look. (albeit their sales page for insiders club does need updating as the authors for their monthly booklet do change- the big race tips/analysis from Nick Hardman are the main draw I think)

  2. I’ve been following ex-hunter chasers to great effect lately and whilst ideally he would want good ground, (although I think he hadles soft well enough) Best Boy Barney is well handicapped enough to have a great chance tomorrow and have had a small each way bet in the opening bet at Worcester.

    1. Interesting race? BBB just about cdg, Fine Parchment interesting too but I’ve gone greedy & gone for Top Of The Range EW.

  3. Think Dr parkes is very well weighted in the 6.10 kemp. Usually runs well there. It also come up in one of my systems and has a 25pc strike rate 8/1 looks a fair price
