A very Happy New Year to you all.
BIG RACE PREVIEWS
12.45 Chelt
Perfect Candidate – 1 point win – 4/1 (general) WON
4s seemed fair enough for a horse horse who has run very well in his last two races, both at this track and on paper both a far bit more competitive than this. Unlike a few in here he looks sure to give his running, if handling the ground. He does have winning form in very soft and it should be ok. This trip, in this ground, may be ideal and he should keep plugging away near the end, hopefully out-staying them all up the hill. Alternatiff has a favourites chance but will need to step up on that last run, which he is entitled to do. The rest have quite a few questions to answer for one reason or another.
2.30 Chelt
Singlefarmpayment – 1 point win – 8/1 (bet365/WH) WON 9/2
Batavir – 1 point win – 9/1 (general) UP
I have previewed this for The Daily Punt Blog, including stats/trends etc so look out for that in the next hour or so.

That is all on the ‘tipping’ front for today. I had a look at the 1.55 but in truth I have always struggled a bit in those intermediate chases, 2m4f or so. The thought of going through it this morning wasnt enticing so I have left it. I hope Little Jon runs a good race, having backed him LTO. He slithered on landing early in that when in a decent position. His jumping is now a concern – well it has always been around here – and while minded to give him one last go I decided against it. If he jumps round error free he should out run his odds. There is also a ‘January’ trainer qualifier in this race which I have backed…

MICRO SYSTEMS
I am a bit behind on my ‘January’ research for one reason or another and I will have a good look asap. However, there is one trainer that I have researched a few weeks ago for Jan/Feb and he is ready to go. I will publish the stats etc in due course but for now the horse..
JAN Trainers

That is all for today. Good Luck

All the best to you & yours Josh & many thanks for the sterling effort you put into this site
Many thanks Bill, you too.
Happy New Year Josh, keep up the good work and also a great read without the bets. And must just add a big thankyou to yourself as I’ve backed all your tips, shortlist, stats and micro systems at price guides all £25ew since October 1st when first put onto your site. And including yesterday’s results I have a profit of £1678.61,thankyou.
Thanks Tony – ah you are building up a nice pot – that will help pay for a nice holiday or two! 🙂
Thanks for all the hard work again Josh. I managed to back a V Williams winner yesterday first for a long time and have most seasons done well with her. I have noticed if they are not in with a chance of winning they are usually well beaten or pulled up. Good luck everyone.
Cheers Roy – yes they keep going in and this could be one of the most testing winters we have had for a while and it will be pretty hard to dismiss hers when the mud is deep. another went in today I see at Exeter, decent price.
All the best for 2016 Josh, I must say I am intrigued that you found a profitable angle for Tom George in January as all I can see is he is 7/67 from all runners in January for 2014/15 throwing a 42 point loss at SP!
Thanks Steve – i will reveal all – this angle is 10/35 over Jan/Feb for 2014 and 2015. Just focuses on race fit handicap chasers (NOT 0 or 1 run in last 90 days, so 2+), Brennan up top, 12/1<
Well done on your two tips today Josh excellent tipping …
Thanks Harold, yes a decent enough start to the year! nice to be building up the betting bank now, after a few volatile weeks
Quality tipping today well done
HAPPY NEW YEAR
Cheers Mozzer, glad you had a piece!
Hi Josh
Once again Thank You for your Big Race Tipping, outstanding following on from last year,
No pressure for tomorrow then
Hi Josh,
Once again a great big thank you for your outstanding Big Race tipping, last year was very good,
and what a start this year,no pressure for tomorrow then!!! only kidding.
Cheers
Colin
haha Cheers Colin – always pressure, but up to near enough +50 points from start of Oct when jumping tips kicked in – that relieves the pressure somewhat and hopefully can keep adding to it. Yes very happy with how the big race stats/trends have been working, and how they have been consistently shortlisting winners, from 4-6 horses.
Dont think there will be a ‘big race preview’ tomorrow (no trends/stats) as such, but I will give the Veteran’s chase a go, and there will be a couple for that no doubt.
