Shortlist
2.10 Ponte – Catastrophe 2ND (HEAD) 22/1 – JJ Quinn is 2/5, 4 places here with his handicap dubants. This one has been running well in maidens and steps up in trip here. A slightly problematic draw but that is built into the price, 14/1. Clearly an open race on paper but he looks interesting.
2.30 Plump – Amber Spyglass – 5/2 – (UP – Ran Out) The trainer is 9/18, 10 places with stable newcomers in the last year and 2/5 at the track. This looks a two horse race with many of the others potentially racing to get marks etc. Alan King has a brilliant record here in general, and with his is maiden hurdlers, but his is rather skinny – he will need to be fully tuned up here and it is possible he will need further than this. The selection will be fit and has shown some promise to date. I thought 5/2 was just about ok in the context of this race.
The Alan King and Suzy Smith runners could have been included in the shortlist on the trainer stats alone for the track. If they were not system selections below I would have included them above- I think they should both go well.

Hi Josh – If the doubters had done a C.S.F. on Catastrophe & Harlequin Rock a 256/1 pay out would have occurred.
Yes that would have been nice – not a bet I ever really place and can’t say I would have predicted that haha. Still, a decent enough day again – King’s horse was poor – maybe conclusively proving that he does need to be fresh – Invicta also below par but two more progressive horses ahead. Onto tomorrow. Micro systems flying along for October – 8 winners now, (+ The New One but didnt back him at odds)
well done josh Backed both in the 2.10 on the nanny goat so a 13/1 winner 4/1 place & a 9/2 place happy days indeed
