Nothing much to go at today. Wetherby looks a decent card and one to watch with the notebook at hand – there are quite a few decent trainer stats from the guide but every horse has something to prove – mainly fitness and/or jumping. The chases look competitive and they are littered with unexposed types vs more experienced horses and it is hard to be dogmatic about anything in my opinion.
The Shortlist
4.35 Worcester – Dashul – (12/1 WH, 10/1 general) goes for J Scott who is 10/32, 15 places in handicaps here. In the last year he is 5/12 with his handicap debutants, 6/20, 7 places in last two years. This horse has some ability as shown in his bumpers- of most interest is the fact that he steps up by half a mile here, and this is the second run after a few months off. There are reasons why an improved showing would not be a shock.
