A decent 8/1 winner (9/2 SP) for the shortlist kept things ticking over. The chasers were quite poor but King Masini should be worth keeping onside and I would like to think Williams will find a win for him soon. He travelled well enough into the race before fading late on.
The Shortlist
3.30 Exeter – Kasbadali – no stats here just a horse that could look generously priced at 3/1 come 3.35. He is 2/5, 3 places after a break of 121+ days and this may be the best time to catch him. If he is fit he must surely play a role in the finish here. He is better than these.Yes he is 10 but he is lightly raced, has won over CD and is now 9lb below his opening handicap chase win in Nov 2013. He has only raced 5 times since then, in C2/3 chases which were better than this one. This drop in C4 will help and 3s was fair in the context of the oppo. If he fluffs his lines then King Fontain may give him most to do. I should be leaving these chases this month, but I like to look at them to help me get back into the chasing game.
5.05 Tramore – Massinis Adventure – goes for Tyner who is 4/12, 6 places with handicap chases at the track. Without that stat I would not look at this horse. He has a lot of letters in his form line but was going well when trying to take the fence with him LTO. This is a poor race and he is 12/1 with PP. That allows a slight chance to be taken as he does have the ability to win this, and is still unexposed over fences. Will will be holding our breath at every fence but if he completes he should be thereabouts. UPDATE – that 12s didnt last long, if he wins will be recorded as 8/1 – which is still just about ok, although given his jumping shorter than that would be questionable I think.

Hi James – thanks – I am glad you are on the ball this morning! While researching and pulling system apart etc I have saved A Kings system excluding the month of October! (ie I was checking OCT was the stand out month, but didnt change back the settings – so yes, those two do qualify – updating now! Cheers. (double checking them all now!)
