Saturday 12/09/15

The weather has scuppered any plans I had to attack a race or two at Doncaster. It is raining and could be anything between good to soft and heavy depending on how much rain actually falls. Just a bit too much guessing at this time in the day.

I will just list the September trainers today…

SEPTEMBER TRAINERS

Williams…

2.35 Donc -Suzis Connoisseur (16/1 0r under)

5.20 Ling – Sweetly Does is (16/1 or under)

Baker…(8/1 or under)

2.15 Chest – Jacks Revenge

2.35 Donc – Harry Hurricane

3.55 Bath – Guard of Honour

4.55 Donc – Belgian Bill

*Baker had a winner at 12/1 yesterday that I didnt have a penny on. Before that winner he was 1/43 with horses over 8/1, including 0/6 so far this season. 3 had placed though and clearly this is a decent guide and way in – those at bigger prices may be worth a looking at in more depth – albeit I would have struggled to make a form case for yesterday’s winner.

Good Luck with any Saturday wagers you have, I will be attempting a quiet and ‘disciplined’ day 🙂 There is plenty of decent racing to sit and watch, especially in Ireland, albeit the rain could ruin the day.

  1. Isn’t it always the way you get a few days nice weather, you start to get your head around the form, the horses you back start to do what you expected them to do and it pours down, screwing everything up!! ( them damn bookies, getting on their prayer mats again ) So I’m with you Josh taking it very easy, and remember what the Sargent used to say in Hill St. Blues ” Lets be careful out there “

  2. I am with you guys an easy one 🙂

Might have a dart on Suzis Connoisseur in the Portland if the ground is testing should have won last weekend. I did like the look of Highland Acclaim who ran a very strange race last Saturday there is a decent pot in him but i think he needs better ground?

I have had Men of Harlech 4:20 Doncaster down as a horse who can win a good race and he is better with ease in the ground and the 5lb claim of Rob Hornby could be handy.

As you say some great racing over in Ireland – I backed Found for the Arc ante post at 25s so I will probably have a nibble on her to get my ante post money back if nothing else.

    Gl all
