Well that went well didnt it?! 🙂
Having sent out the free e-book I was expecting a decent run from the main selection in the 5.10 but then he effectively refused to race. That is racing and while disappointing his time will come again.
(The ‘tracker horse’ Ralphy Boy, won at 8/1 which at least shows you the potential. Clearly he is proving that he does relish those conditions and looks to be forming a profile.)
Thankfully in this game you never have to wait too long to try and redeem yourself…
Ingleby Angel, a horse in the 10 free profiles, is worth considering in the 4.35.
Since I added him in he has confirmed he is best after a run, now 0/5,0 places after a break of 121+ days. As such his last run, at Thirsk, can be ignored.
The only question now is his handicap mark. He has never won from a mark above 90, and in fact with jockey claims a mark above 85.
However he was second in this race last season off OR96, beaten less an 1length and was also second beaten a neck at Ayr. He now runs off OR92.
My Bet: 1/2 point EW 6/1.
Because he hasn’t proved he can win from a mark like this and so far always finds one too good I have backed him EW, 4 places. He has only run twice outside of the conditions in his profile and one of those was that second off 96 and the other was on his seasonal reappearance this year. He usually runs well at this track and while I would like his mark to come down a bit more he is worth backing today, ew.
