Peter Marsh Chase
Corrin Wood 6/1 1 point win
Green Flag 8/1 1 point win
Hopefully this meeting gets the go ahead. There are some trends for this race and Corrin Wood comes out strongly on them, as does shangani who is the other I fear most. I am confident that one of these three will win this race. Corrin Wood likes the mud and has been in decent enough form. Team McCain have won this race a couple of times in recent years and I do wonder whether this has been the target. His yard is in decent enough form and this horse has the ability to win this from the front. Green Flag is interesting and I think he has a race like this in him. Excuses can be made for his recent runs and actually the bare form of those races doesn’t tell the full story. It could be he just insnt in form at the moment, or that he is being aimed at the Scottish National again, however if fully tuned up I think 8s will look a decent price. He stays and will relish the testing conditions. His trainer has always said he wants it soft. I may have a saver on the Venetia Williams horse at 8s.
That is it for the write up as I am technically still on holiday 🙂 Normal ‘service’ will resume Monday morning where I need to up my game with the PACE selections.
One final horse…I like the look of Whispering Harry in the 3.25 Taunton at 3/1. It isn’t a massive price but I think he could lead the field on a merry dance.
Good luck with whatever you back

Whispering Harry, phew! Cheers.
Yes, that was a relief! Less said about the main event the better!! Haven’t managed to watch race yet but looks like they didn’t handle conditions at all, which was surprising. Anyway, a 1 point profit isnt end of world
Indeed. Very heavy going, the winner looked well out of it early on, but loved the going when he actually got going. Whispering Harry just held on, was an exciting finish, still have some nails left!
