No ‘bet of the day’, nothing can really tempt me on current prices. The most interesting horse today to my eyes is probably Arctic Lady for my Tom George micro on the free daily post.

RESULTS UPDATE: Part 1 of my 2017 results update can be found HERE>>>

Part 2 will include some analysis of the ratings pointers and possible ways to get the best out of those, outside of the #1 advised strategy which is already included in part 1 above.

PLEASE… do email me if you are still unsure when something qualifies against the #1 advised strategy ‘Ratings Pointers 10/1+’ approach. What with the Summer Jumps winner on Sat, all jumps related qualifiers are now on +110 points BFSP from less than one bet per day. I have tried to explain when a horse qualifies in the results post above.

I am more than aware that I can lack for clarity sometimes, so any questions then do email me: info@racingtoprofit.co.uk

My job is to make sure you get the best out of the content and given the profit on these pages it pains me if you’re not.

Aintree 2017

To note that at some point Wednesday afternoon, there will be a report with some stats pointers for…

  • Red Rum Handicap Chase: Day 1
  • Topham Chase: Day 2
  • Handicap Hurdle (2m4f): Day 2
  • Handicap Chase (3m1f): Day 3
  • G3 Handicap Hurdle (3m1/2f): Day 3

In addition to the Grand National they will be my main punting focus, probably on the Free Posts. Although it is a ‘holiday’ meeting for me so I won’t make any promises in terms of ‘tips’.  These will accompany any qualifiers from my micro angles report above which will be Members Only.

Also note, I did some digging on JPs horses… + Gigginstown…

Last 5 Festivals…

JP (the green and gold)  Owned…

  • Those sent off 3/1 or shorter: 6/10,8p… +8 SP. (all of his winners) (don’t think I will be taking those on!)
  • Non Handicaps: 6/16,10p
  • Handicaps: 0/45,9p
  • Did NOT run at the Festival LTO: 0/24,4p

Mr Ryanair…

  • 5/1 or shorter SP: 4/11,6p… + 8 SP

That is all for today.

  • Hi Josh, not sure I fully understand what we are supposed to be backing in regard to the 10/1+ strategy. I would have emailed you but I cannot find the contact details.

In truth I don’t mind a lot of bets and am happy to back all qualifiers if I know what they are.

    • Sorry, just read the results post and got it now.

Undecided whether to go with all of them or just the 10/1+ strategy, I only have four BOG accounts left now so anything that works at BFSP is what I am looking for.

      • Hi Jim,
Well I would definitely go with the #1 Advised Strategy to start with as that is the best on the figures so far… then a case of what other approaches to add in, esp if you like more action.

Backing all other 10/1+ shots is an option for sure, and maybe a sep bank with 1 point on the #1 strategy above, and 1/2 say on these ones, build up over time.

Ratings Pointers and all 10/1+ have done well on Saturdays and that data is building all the time, and there is plenty of logic behind that to me- well better racing/prize money/owners day out etc/best racing day of the week.

I will have a look at the ratings pointers in more depth asap, hopefully today- think backing all ‘G1’ horses is a decent micro in itself but we will know more on that soon, and there may be other permutations.

Just a question of taking some time and settling on an approach that suits you.

I back all in the #1 strategy, and then try and pick out the odd other decent priced winner if I can. You do have to accept that you will miss winners, whatever approach you take – unless you just back the lot but the evidence suggests that isn’t the best approach.

  • Good Morning all,

What a great site Josh very pleased I joined and given the level of knowledge on here there is surely a case to be made for a proper forum to be added in!

Clearly new to the site but does anyone have a Particular way they follow Josh other than how he advises, which works for them ?

I have an idea and i will keep records and if it works how i think it will/should i will gladly with Josh’s permission share it no problem at all.

its relatively simple and boring (nothing wrong with that as i keep reassuring my good lady wife :-))

anyway great to be here and i hope to interact with you in a positive manner over the coming months ……. no Years

    regards

    Paul

    • Morning Paul, you are too kind, but cheers!

Forum..there was a forum of sorts but no-one used it so I took it away, most just use the comments as you have done although no doubt I could improve their functionality. I also don’t have time to ‘manage’ a forum at the moment, not that it would need it but I will stick with how things are for now.

You should feel free to share whatever ideas you have/works for you. I and others will no doubt be interested to read them.
