nothing to add today. No ‘RP  10/1+’ horses although a chance Ubaltique may go off 11.00+ on BFSP if he drifts.

Results Review 2017 to date: I plan to get this complete on Tuesday afternoon.

Aintree… to note that my coverage of this meeting isn’t anywhere near the level of Cheltenham.  This is a social/’holiday’ meeting for me as I go all three days, being only 20 minutes up the road on the train. I will look at 3-4 races in some detail I think, including the big one. These are likely to be on the free posts. On Wednesday I will get some more stats/trends complete for a few more races. I will post any qualifiers from the micro angles report in the members’ posts.

That is all for today.

  • Following on from the success of that ‘rogue’ Dell’Arca yesterday, there’s another similar profile Pipe runner in the National (we should get confirmation today that is a definite intended runner, but sits nicely in the weights so will get a run if they want to/are able to).

    Ballynagour

n amount of ability, though same as DA hasn’t consistently shown it
Was going OK still when unseating around the 16th last year
With 10-10 may feel like running loose
Last 3 Ps may be misleading, there is some evidence that may prefer the spring/summer months
If last named is true – looks like we’re in for a week of sunshine which can only help
Fits an old Nick Mordin profile of ‘between 10-4 and 11 or thereabouts’ and capable of running close to Grade 1
If Scudamore is on VLR, then Noonan may be up on Ballynagour
Every chance this has been a target since April last year
Was still 80-1 on WH last night, 120 a week ago on BF but that was down to around 85 last night

If he runs and gets round, there would be reasonable grounds for thinking he may be close enough at the finish. At the odds there are some far worse options.
