3.Any ‘Notes’ (subjective views mainly, on some of the qualifiers)

Well no big priced runners here to get excited about and clearly me trying to second guess ratings pointers horses didn’t work too well yesterday! Still, it was good to see those have a good start to the week.

The two biggest priced horses look of some interest to my eye… Another Mattie… I think 9/2 is ok actually, and so may be 4s, although I wouldn’t want shorter personally. He was a selection the last day and credit to the jockey for keeping him going to snatch 3rd at 25s for any EW players. I think he may have his own ideas as they do like to keep him wide- she almost went around the perimeter fence the whole way round and must have covered and extra 2f+ or so than a lot in that race I suspect. The trip may have also been on the short side as he did get outpaced in the straight before rallying again. He just plugs on and these conditions look ideal. He is now 1lb below his last winning mark and with Kit’s 7lb he is even more ‘well in’. If he could repeat those C3 efforts of Feb/March 2016 he goes very close here for me and that last run suggested he may be about to strike. I do wonder whether they may try and make all as he has raced prominently before. Anyway, for what it’s worth I’ve had a go at 9/2 and hopefully another one for the ratings pointers. It looks a very winnable race.

Blue Bullet at 6/1, 13/2 looks of some interest. He ran well the last day, has had a break, may ave grown a tad more even in that time, and runs again when the trainer is in decent form, as is the jockey. There will be no excuse from the saddle here. He also gets a first time tongue tie which is of interest – doing something different- and the fact they keep persevering with him in bumpers is of interest also. The fav has the best form and may be hard to beat but clearly wears a hood for  a reason and has had 63 days off. As per the guide the trainer was 4/16,10p here with NHF runners before this season so hopefully this one can add to those stats.

Fingers crossed one of those two can go in for my own bank balance. The others are too short for me personally but hopefully they run well.

Good luck if you play anything.
