3.Any ‘Notes’ (subjective views mainly, on some of the qualifiers)

Well just the one UK meeting for us today. At Haydock nothing at the bigger prices really jumps out at me personally and I will just be sticking with the ratings pointers I think. Heath Hunter is interesting with his favoured headgear returning/drop in class. All conditions fine and he has come a long way down the handicap. He is 10 as well. 8s may be ok, but i would be more interested as an EW bet maybe, if double that price. Suppose he may look the most interesting one at Haydock outside of the RPs.

Over in Ireland, Calis Des Ongrais… suspect the market will guide. He is unexposed, making handicap debut, and therefore ‘could be anything’. Elliot has handicap debutants go in and he does step him back up in trip. As with any horse with such a profile, you are never shocked if they bolt up, and equally not surprised if they show little. If is hard to know on what they have done to date as you never know if they were being run to gain experience etc. There are 4 places here and at 11s, may be worth an EW interest. These Elliot bonus stats have found a couple of winners so far from memory. Any drift and we will know our fate.

  • Ascot looks certain to be off, 0630 inspection.

    • Yep I think so, frost got in under the covers and no prospect of being above -3 tonight. And I don’t think it is meant to warm up in the morning. We could do with a decent weekend to turn around a quiet week.

    • Glad you both had a nibble gents, that’s what it’s all about. Liverpool had better score in this second half to lift my mood HaHa. I would be lying through all of my teeth if I said I had a penny on him. Ignoring my own advice to Malcolm and others that is it probably best to have somethig on all 20/1 + quals,or most. That must be the 8th+ suchase winner . In general they pay for a lot of losers in section 2, but I wouldn’t have minded having a bit on him EW. Sums up my week!
Trust the stats with the biggies I think, over time. Going to have look at him and see why I put myself off. Bugger.

      • I’m watching the Reds on the little Bet 365 screen. It’s the stupid tactics of visiting teams now.
We haven’t got a big guy up front to counter it when it happens.

Klopp says the run in starts today. Well Klippety better figure a way around this.
